FAQ-Frequently Asked Questions
When will the building be open?
Regular office hours are Mon-Thur 8 am to noon and 1 pm to 4pm. Friday we are open from 8am to noon.
What do we believe?
As a denomination with deep roots, our beliefs rest on the historical affirmations of the "Articles of Religion of the Methodist Church" first adopted in 1808. This document contains many of the classical Christian affirmations about the nature of God, the nature of human beings, our need for salvation, the suffiencency of the Bible, the nature of the sacraments and our faith response of doing good works. This document is important but does not replace the ongoing work of theological conversation and reflection.
At Woodland, as in wider United Methodism, you can find people who believe along a wide theological spectrum. We continue to learn together, discovering God in new ways and deepening our faith.
What is our Mission?
In 2008 Woodland adopted a new mission statement. It proclaims our identity as a church and says we are "rooted in Christ, surrounded by Love, and moved to Service." This compact statement is an expression of who we are and who we want to be in the world.
How do I schedule a Wedding?
Weddings are scheduled through the pastor. Wedding services are subject to building and pastoral availability and are intended for those who have had, currently have or will have a worshipping relationship with Woodland. Basic fees for non-member weddings total $1000.
